First sentences
These are always fun to share - here's mine:

The word "still" will come out during rewrite, I've already determined. But for now, it's wordcount!

Yes, it's a convocation speech. Yes, I stole it from Indira's Fall 2006 convocation speech.
I had thought of using:

Then I realized that I wasn't on nearly enough heroin to make that work.
All joking aside, here's my feeble beginnings:
"Viruses. We thought they were our salvation."
"Alicia had dry underarms."
Hey, I was at that convocation speech! That having been my convocation and all. And just so you know, I'm also writing a novel, just outside of the competition and time constraints.
Why? Because I had penis envy, just for novel-writing.
