So how's everybody doing?
Myownself, I got to 1313 words after day one, 300 behind schedule. Whose brilliant idea was it to do this during the NHL playoffs?
Also, to finally answer Steve's (offline) question definitively: my novel is not about vampires. It is about a single vampire.

2100, but I hope to hit 4000 by the end of the day. Apparently things get a lot rougher during Week 2, and it's good to have some extra word count built up.
A single vampire? Does he get hitched?
There may be a post or two. It's hard to say at this point.
I think I'm going to get caught up today, though every word is terrible so far. I'm also getting terrified: I believe I just surpassed my personal record for longest piece of writing ever, and I'm not even 2/31 of the way done this. (What, I didn't feel like doing the math.) And I don't really have a plot so much as an idea for a plot.
I have my beginning, my end and 2049 words. Now I just have to write the 47000-some words that go in between!
I'm sitting at a semi-comfortable 2800 words. I really didn't like hitting that day two quota, so I'll work on it tomorrow.
And I'm getting close to the death scene. Excited for that.
We should have, parallel to a word count, a body count.
I'm still at about 1300w, but I gave myself three days to sit down and plan. I'll catch up.
